Self Care Essentials

With all the spare time I've had on my hands recently, I've found a few products that I've been reaching for everyday for a quick pamper. As always, everything will be linked at the end of the post if you wanted to check anything out!

  • Nu Skin NaPCA Moisture Mist - I use this every morning to refresh my face and wake me up, it makes my skin feel awake and moisturised ready to go for the day. It's also a huge bottle so it lasts for ages. Great as a little pick me up.

  • Elemis Pro-Radiance Illuminating Flash Balm - This is only a sample size but it's amazing so I'm considering purchasing the full size version. I use this on days that I want to look glowy and dewy as it brightens my whole complexion instantly! It's also amazing under makeup as a primer, I've noticed since using it that my makeup lasts even longer than it usually does.

  • Mudmasky Leave-Me-On Winter Mask - I received this in a Glossybox (if you aren't signed up to Glossybox, it's an amazing treat and pick me up during quarantine) and this mask is unbelievable. I use it as a heavy moisturiser on the days I'm not wearing makeup, it's so soft and smooth when you apply it onto your skin and it sinks straight in. It leaves my skin feeling moisturised for the whole day which I find rare in a lot of other moisturisers and it also smells unreal which is always a plus.

  • Temple Spa Windows of the Soul Eye Treatment Gel-Cream - I use this every morning and night in my skincare routine underneath my eyes and I've noticed it makes me look so much more awake than if I hadn't have applied it. It also really cooling on your eyes and helps to de-puff them in the mornings. It says it helps reduce the appearance of dark circles so if you struggle with this, this eye cream may be perfect for you!

  • Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask - This is one of my favourite lip sleeping masks that I've ever used alongside the Kiehls Buttermask for Lips. Again this is only a sample size that I got in a beauty box from Sephora but I am definitely purchasing the full size when I run out. It makes your lips feel unbelievably moisturised and the formula is so thin and gel-like, it almost feels like a gloss on your lips. It also smells amazing which again, you can never go wrong with!

  • Biore Charcoal Pore Strips - I have naturally oily skin so these are perfect for me as I have really prominent pores on my nose and these have been working really well for me recently as they draw all of the impurities out and reduce the appearance of my pores and they're also really affordable!

  • Laura Mercier Ambre Vanille Hand & Body Cream - First of all, this hand cream smells amazing and look at the packaging, so cute lol. This cream is so thick and for some reason during quarantine, my hands have been really dry - I'm guessing from washing them so often so this hand cream has been my saviour. It's worth investing in for a luxurious hand cream!

  • Naf Stuff Cuticle Oil Pen - These cuticle oil pens have saved my nails especially during self-isolation when I'm struggling to keep my nails from dying šŸ¤£ . I bought them in a 5 pack and this peach scent smells unreal and they help to moisturise your cuticles and promote natural nail growth. A really good product to have to keep your nails in check!

Loungewear Edit

Although I'm a bit late to the party with this - as we've been in lockdown for over 3 weeks now, I thought I'd do a loungewear edit as it looks as though we're going to be stuck inside for another month or so yet...

There are so many different websites which sell good loungewear pieces however I know a lot of pieces are out of stock at the minute due to the demand, I've put together a small collection of things I think are perfect for those chilled days at home.

Again, all links to products will be at the end of the post!

First up, I found this loungewear set on Nasty Gal. (Nasty Gal is my go-to place for loungewear, I order pretty much everything off there).

I think this nude loungewear set is perfect because this is something I would be comfortable leaving the house in also. It's perfect for quarantine and chilling at home but when we're allowed back out again, it would be perfect as an airport outfit! You get the hooded jumper and the pants for £30 which is decently priced I think!

Next up, from Boohoo, I found this jumpsuit.

First of all, this looks so comfy therefore perfect for all these days at home at the minute. It is a staple piece that can be worn with a lot of different things, for example, you could throw this on with a leather jacket and some white trainers when you go shopping. You could also wear this as an airport outfit with a sun hat and some sandals/flip flops (dreaming of a summer holiday if you couldn't tell). The cropped legs on this jumpsuit make it a lot easier to pair with different styles of shoes. This is only £16 so a bargain in my opinion! It also comes in two other colours - a green and pink/purple.

Next in the edit is a jumper from Pretty Little Thing.

This again looks really comfy and it's good for those days that you don't want to look like a slob and you want to look more put together. I love the roll neck and the side split. This would pair well with many things such as knitted pants as seen in the model photo. It would also look great with joggers, leggings, jeans etc. This is £20 and is still in stock in quite a lot of sizes on their website.

Next up on my list is another loungewear set from Pretty Little Thing.

I love how convenient it is to order these sets as you get both pieces and you don't need to match either a top or bottoms to another piece of clothing. These sets are so easy to just throw on and go about your day in. They are also great for going shopping in or again, once we're allowed out, as an airport outfit. They come in black, white, grey and nude and they are only £28 for the whole set! Last time I checked, they were selling out really fast so if you want one, be quick!

Next up, there is a loungewear set from Miss Pap. I have just checked their website and they have LOADS of loungewear in at the minute and most of it is highly stocked! Definitely check out their website!

I think I'm going to order this myself!!! The colour of this set is gorgeous and I love that the sleeves are tapered at the cuff and the pants are wide leg. This is perfect for those days you want to feel a bit more put together and this is another outfit I'd wear to the airport. This set is only £15 for both items and it comes in a tan colour too, all sizes are in stock at the minute!

Also from Miss Pap, I found these basic joggers.

These are a must have staple in your wardrobe whether we're in quarantine or not. They go with pretty much every casual t-shirt/top you own and you can throw them on with any trainers and be good to go. They come in white, grey and black and they're only £12! I'm going to be ordering some of these for myself too as I live in joggers at the minute šŸ¤£

Another item from Miss Pap that I think is perfect is this oversized sweatshirt.

Anything oversized is perfect at the minute (to disguise my boredom eating). This sweatshirt is again a staple item as you can mix and match it with pretty much anything, whether it's cycling shorts, leggings, joggers, jeans, skirts. It comes in 3 colours: grey, black and white and is only £10! Another one to add to the ever-growing list.

Another staple for your loungewear list is this sweater dress from I Saw It First.

This looks so comfy and is perfect for the days you can't be bothered outfit matching as you can just throw this on! You can style this in so many different ways such as with a belt around the waist, with an oversized corduroy shirt over the top. You can also wear this with biker boots and tights or chunky trainers. It's an amazing must have piece and is only £12.50! It comes in charcoal, white, stone, pink and black so there are a lot of colour options.

Next, I found this cardigan from I Saw It First

This is the perfect way to add a delicate touch to any daytime outfit. I love these mini cropped cardigans as they make an outfit look more put together. Again, you can wear this with pretty much anything whether it's joggers, leggings, jeans, skirts, shorts. I also think it would look amazing off the shoulder with a bralette underneath! This cardigan is £20 and as well as this colour (brown), it also comes in cream, black and blue.

Finally on my loungewear list is a loungewear set from Nasty Gal.

The fleck design on this set is gorgeous and I love how oversized the pieces are as being comfy is obviously important during times like these not being able to leave the house. This set is again perfect for an airport outfit/for those comfy days. It is only £27 for the whole set and it's in stock in all sizes!

I just thought I'd put a list of online websites I find the best for loungewear in case you wanted to go and do your own digging:

- Nasty Gal
- ASOS
- Topshop
- In The Style
- I Saw It First

My Favourite Face Masks

I figured whilst people are self-isolating, now would be a perfect time to do a post with all my favourite face masks as they're all I seem to be using recently to keep myself busy!

(All links to products will be at the end of the post).

First up - my all time favourite face mask. The Body Shop Himalayan Charcoal Face Mask.

This face mask will honestly change your life! I've nearly ran out of mine but I'm about to place an order for another as I will never not have it in my skincare routine now. If you're looking for a deep cleansing face mask that will leave your skin feeling soft and refreshed, this is the one for you. As the mask is drying, you can actually see it drawing all of the dirt out of your pores which is good as you know it's working. It absorbs excess oil from your face leaving your skin feeling clean. It is £18 but I've had mine for over a year so it lasts really well. I would 100% recommend this mask for everyone, you will become obsessed!

Next up is the Mario Badescu Super Collagen Mask.

I love this mask for a quick pick me up as it's ideal for dull complexions in need of a boost. As said on the tub, it helps to tighten, nourish and soothe the skin for a firmer and smoother finish. You only need to use a tiny amount of this mask also as a little goes a long way therefore it lasts for ages! When I've used this mask, my skin is glowing afterwards and feels a lot cleaner. I found the mask for £14.50 on Beauty Bay - I think its currently out of stock but definitely one to add to the wishlist.

Next is the Yes To Tomatoes Clearing Facial Mask.

This mask is perfect for people with acne-prone skin. A little goes a long way with this mask as well as it has a clay like formula therefore you don't need much. On the tub, it explains that this mask leaves the skin feeling moisturised and purified and it also helps to balance the skin. The mask goes deep to refine and clear pores whilst absorbing acne-causing sebum. I started to use this mask when I had a lot of spots on my cheeks and it massively helped to clear my skin up. I found this mask on Amazon for £9.95 although it seems as though it's quite hard to get hold of.

Next on my list is the Sephora Watermelon Mask Stick.

If you're looking for an easy and quick face mask - this is the one for you. As it's in a stick formula, it's so easy to apply and is mess-free. This mask helps to nourish your skin so great for those who feel as though their face is feeling a little dry. It has 15 uses! I bought this when I was on holiday in Lisbon and we don't have a Sephora in the UK so it may be quite hard to hold of! I've just added a link to Sephora's website but unfortunately they don't ship to the UK :(

Another of my favourites is the Soap & Glory Radiance Boosting Sheet Mask.

If you're a fan of sheet masks, you need to try this one - its amazing! It does exactly what it says on the packet which is give your skin a little bit of radiance as it makes you glow. As soon as I'd used this mask, my skin instantly felt revived. As it says on the packet, this mask includes Vitamin C and a special white flower skin-brightening complex plus a rooibos tea extract which is known for its energy boosting properties. They're only £4 from boots so if you need a quick pick me up and you love sheets mask, try this one!

Finally, my last product on my list is the Sisley Black Rose Cream Mask.

I got this 10ml sample when I was working at House of Fraser on the beauty team and it is AMAZING! It states to apply, then leave for 10-15 minutes and wipe away the excess but I apply it as a moisturiser and leave it on overnight then cleanse in the morning. On their website, they state that the mask is rich in active anti-aging ingredients (Black Rose, Padina pavonica, and Alkekengi calyx extracts), it immediately gets to work on signs of fatigue and leaves the skin looking youthful and energized. After I've used this mask, my skin immediately feels more plump and glowy. The only downside is the price, the 60ml version of this mask is £99 on John Lewis which is so pricey :( if you have the money, I would definitely say to try this though as it is amazing.

A Trip To Munich

Hey, long time no see! I'm back with a blog post all about mine and Liam's recent trip to Munich for his late birthday present! Here's what we did along with a few photos...

DAY ONE

DAY ONE

We arrived in Munich the day before however it was late so we ordered food and went to sleep and got up early the next day! We set out very early, there was a bakery just outside our hotel so we stopped there for breakfast and it was fab. The first place we went to was the Nymphenburg Palace which was beautiful and it had a garden at the back which we walked around for a while. We then hired scooters (as always) and visited the Olympic Park, it was so high up and it was very windy so we didn't spend too long here but the views were amazing. We then visited the BMW Museum which was so interesting as they had old models of both motorbikes and cars, we grabbed lunch here too which was also nice! It was then that the day took a turn for the worst when we paid a visit to the Hofbrauhaus Brewery which is a huge beer hall where they serve the famous German steins. We had 2 steins each in here and then decided it would be a good laugh to carry on doing a pub crawl (not a good idea in Germany when the beer is ridiculously strong). Mid pub crawl we went to a burger restaurant for tea, it was called Hans Im Gluck and it was one of the nicest burgers I've ever had! We ended up in a nightclub and only got home at 3am. Let's just say the things we had planned for the next day did not go to plan...

DAY TWO

As day 2 was a bust - this is the only photo I have

So we had a lot to do on this day but due to my awful hangover, we only did a few things šŸ¤£

First of all, we went to the bakery near our hotel again - the fresh orange juice somehow calmed my stomach. We then thought fresh air would help so we visited the English Gardens which is a huge park full of fields so we walked around there for about 2 hours! This is pretty much all we got done as I felt so sick (sorry Liam).

DAY THREE

DAY THREE
This day was a lot more successful as we had loads of things to do and we was going to watch Bayern Munich play! First of all, we visited the famous Marienplatz station which is where some of Four Out of Five  by the Arctic Monkeys was filmed. We then came out of the underground station and visited the New Town Hall which is the centre of the shopping square with different bars and restaurants. We then saw the Munich Residenz which we sadly didn't get to go inside as we had too much planned for the day but it's a former royal palace and the architecture inside is amazing! We then carried on to see the Isar River which is a gorgeous river running throughout Munich which then led us to Odeonsplatz, a large square in the centre of Munich. We then got photos outside of Karlsplatz which is again another square with bars and restaurants on the outside of it. The last thing we did before going to the football match was visit the Old Botanical Gardens which wasn't what we expected as the photos looked very different so we just sat there for a while before heading for food before the match. We went to an Irish pub which was full of English people watching football and the food was amazing. Afterwards, we set off for the football and it was amazing, we luckily had unbelievable seats for the price we paid (£45 each) and Bayern Munich won 2-0 against Augsburg. We then headed back to the Irish pub after the football and had some drinks there before heading home as we had to be on a flight early the next day and I still had a 2-day hangover.

I would highly recommend Munich to visit, its an amazing city break! The food and drinks are amazing and there is so much to do while you're there! Just make sure you take it easy on the beer (a lesson for next time oops).

Has anyone else been to Munich and been to any good places? Hope everyone is staying safe!

XO,
